DC Alexander Park
Located on Fort Lauderdale Beach, DC Alexander Park is a vibrant 1.2-acre coastal park, blending sustainable design with scenic beauty. The park features a 25-foot cantilevered overlook with ocean views, inclusive play areas, shaded native landscaping, and the iconic “Whispering Giant” sculpture honoring Native American heritage. Designed with resilience in mind, the park incorporates eco-friendly elements like dune restoration and stormwater management, making it both a community hub and a model for innovative coastal development.

Youth Sports Park
Located in our hometown of Pompano Beach, the Youth Sports Complex is a state-of-the-art, 10.5-acre facility designed to meet the growing demand for youth athletics. The complex features four rectangular fields—two with FieldTurf synthetic turf and lighting, and two laser-graded Bermuda grass fields.
At its heart is the award-winning Field House, designed by Brooks + Scarpa, offering concessions, offices, restrooms, and a shaded wraparound porch with cooling fans. The building’s sculptural concrete form and vibrant yellow metal lattice not only serve as a visual landmark but also incorporate sustainable features like rainwater harvesting and natural ventilation. Being funded through the city’s G.O. Pompano! bond initiative, the complex also provides overflow parking for the nearby historic Sample-McDougald House, seamlessly blending modern recreation with community heritage.

Braithwaite Center for Active Aging
The Braithwaite Center for Active Aging is a lively community hub that underwent significant transformation in 2024. This redevelopment culminated in demolishing the previous structure & constructing a modern 21,000-square foot facility dedicated to the community's senior population.
The new center includes banquet space, recreational areas, and specialized facilities for programs such as the Alzheimer's Day Care. Designed with a focus on enhancing quality of life, the Braithwaite Center reflects a thoughtful, future-ready approach to public facility construction.

Miramar Pineland Nature Center
Situated within Broward County's 157-acre Miramar Pineland Park, the Miramar Pineland Nature Center is a 4,300-square-foot facility serving as an educational hub that enhances visitor engagement with the park's diverse ecosystems, including scrubby flatlands, wetlands, and prairies.
The building features a multipurpose room, warming kitchen, restrooms, administrative offices, and exhibition areas that highlight the historical and ecological significance of the surrounding environment. Architectural elements such as a reflective metal roof and a perimeter covered walkway contribute to the facility's energy efficiency and provide seamless integration with the natural landscape. The design emphasizes sustainability and functionality, offering a space that supports environmental education and community gatherings.
